Zdenka Kovačićek and Marko Tolja with HRT Jazz Orchestra accompaniment opened the 11th Weekend Media Festival

With hits like “Žena za sva vremena”, Aretha Franklin’s “A natural woman” and Oliver Dragojević evergreens, one of the most respected jazz, rock and blues singer Zdenka Kovačiček, accompanied by HRT Jazz Orchestra conducted by Miron Hauser, opened the 11th Weekend Media Festival in Rovinj last night. 

The music diva shared the stage in the ex-tobacco factory with Marko Tolja, who is at the Weekend Media Festival for the first time. 

On this occasion young musician performed evergreens from a joint album with HRT Jazz Orchestra “Stavi pravu stvar”. Two artists made numerous people from Croatian business, social and cultural life dance in the Garden Hall and announced another best Weekend in the year.

The 11th edition of the biggest communication industry festival in the region will gather more than 5000 participants, including more than 550 journalists and 350 students. They will participate in more than 50 sessions, panels, presentations and workshops held by more than 150 influential speakers from all around the world, which will take floor on 6 stages.

After the all-day lectures, the party goes on! A hip-hop duo Bolesna Braća takes over the dance floor tonight, while on Saturday the party “Weekend Goes Global” makes it a world-class experience for the first time when brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, worldwide known as 2manydjs, will take over the stage.
