In the early days of positive psychology, scientists were focused on happiness as a prerequisite for a meaningful life. But now we know that happiness does not equal wellbeing. The measure of well-being is flourishing. In the new well-being theory, human flourishing rests on five pillars: positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning and achievement. The goal of positive psychology in the theory of well-being is to increase the amount of „flourishing „in your own life and on the planet. People want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within themselves, to enhance their experiences of love, work, and play. What makes a good life? What are our strengths and virtual necessary for our wellbeing? How to reach „flourishing “through a fulfilled and meaningful life?
